OSHA Fall protection standard has several different components. This class will cover the basic code of federal regulation for fall protection. Part of the fall protection code also has safety hazards associated with ladders, stairwells, slips, trips and falls. This class will help identify hazards and identify ways to mitigate those hazards out of the work environment using means through engineering, administrative or Personal Protective Equipment controls. If personal protective equipment has been introduced as a tool to limit exposure to a hazard, class participants will be educated on the PPE selected, correct use and maintenance of their PPE.

OSHA regulates the use of hand and powered tools. This class will help participants understand the limitation of some tools, storage and operation. Machine guarding is designed to keep operators safe and, in many cases, guards are removed. Participants will be familiar with machine guards, their purpose and alternate techniques or process should a guard be removed. Lockout/Tagout is a process that will be covered in this class as it plays a huge roll in protecting workers working with machines. Lockout Tagout not only protects workers from electrical sources but many others. Those sources of stored energy will be covered during this portion of the class. PPE requirements will also be discussed should there be a process that requires PPE.

Utilizing Arial work Platforms/scissor lift and scaffolding limit exposure to falls unfortunately it does not completely illuminate the fall. Each participant will be familiar with the operation of these machines and the safety hazards associated with their operation. Each participant will be able to identify potential hazards while operating machines and minimize their exposure to potential hazards. There are three components to this class that needs to be completed for the participant to be recognized as authorized to operate each machine. Classroom portion, written test and a practical session of each machine.

Due to logistics machines may not always be available to conduct the practical portion of the class in some cases machines would need to be rented for the training to be conducted. Prices are going to vary state to state due to machine rental.

There are hazards associated with the masonry industry. Ergonomics, hand injuries, eye injures respiratory injuries are to name a few. This class is designed to identify those hazards and mitigate those hazards out of the process or work environment. This class will teach each participant how to identify a potential hazard, corrective action to take for that hazard. If PPE has been introduced to the process to limit the exposure to a hazard, each participant will be able to utilize the selected PPE in the way in which it was designed, maintained that PPE and wear it appropriately.
